Numerous studies show that happy individuals are successful across multiple life domains, including marriage, friendship, income, work performance, and health. Why is that? Easy. Positive thoughts affects our success. Did you know, that people with a postive mindset tend to set higher goals and put more effort in to reach these goals?

Winners, successful and positive thinking

“Positive thinking” suggests that in order to accomplish good things and pursue happiness, human beings must constantly have positive thoughts and prevent negative thoughts from entering their mind. This can be done by envisioning success, repeating constant affirmations, continuously saying good things to oneself in order to build self-esteem. Studies on athletes has also shown that their athletic goals are reached if they practice postitive exercises. But also when they get positive and optimistic vibes from parents, teammates and coaches.

“Positive thinking” also influences health and healing. Our thoughts produce emotions and emotions direct our behaviors. Thoughts have the ability to influence health habits and lifestyle choices, such as physical activity, diet, substance use, and also social engagement. Which means that our positive thinking determines our lifestyle choice. That will influence whether or not the body is provided with the optimal nutrients it needs.

People who are focused on “positive thinking” tend to have more energy. Studies have shown that happy brains are smart brains. What does that mean? It means that negativity narrows our focus. It does this to help us respond to a threat. Positivity does just the opposite. It opens up our imagination and broadening the range of ideas that come to mind.

Mostly postive with a twist of negativity

We need to be mostly positive when we want to win our personal battles. But we also need a pinch of negativity. in fact, we know that negative thinking can make people more analytical so that they will engage more in critical thinking. These are skills that are required for good functioning and adequate mental health.
