Baked BBQ Cauliflower

As the plant-based movement gains momentum, the versatility of cauliflower has been discovered and celebrated in numerous innovative recipes. Among them, baked BBQ cauliflower has emerged as a mouthwatering sensation, delighting taste buds and satisfying even the most cauliflower sceptic.

Cauliflower is often praised for its impressive health benefits, making it a popular choice for those seeking a nutritious addition to a balanced diet. Cauliflower contains various antioxidants, including vitamin C, beta-carotene, and quercetin. These compounds help protect the body against harmful free radicals, reduce inflammation, and support overall cellular health.

Ingredients

2 tbsp. Mushroom soya sauce or light soya sauce

2 tbsp. Sirup of choice

1 tbsp. Onion powder

1 tbsp. Smoked paprika powder

2 tbsp. Ketchup

1 Cauliflower

Chopped Fresh parsley or Spring onions for garnish.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  2. Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets & Rinse them under running water and pat dry with a towel.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, onion powder, smoked paprika, sirup, soya sauce and ketchup until well combined.
  4. Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the BBQ sauce mixture.
  5. Arrange the coated cauliflower florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley og spring onions, if desired, for added freshness and garnish.
